Our home

Located in the center of the medieval village of Sermoneta on the piazza in front of the cathedral, our 15th century house was restored in 2009. We tried to find back the spirit of the medieval architecture, and to combine it with contemporary equipping and furnishing.

It has an entrance room, a big living room with kitchen, three bedrooms, one library room, two bathrooms, an extra toilet, and three balconies.

Who we are

  1. We are a French-Italian couple with three young daughters (twins of 6 years old and one of 5 years) and we are living in Geneva, Switzerland.
We are both working in art. We love to travel and to discover new places. During our trips, we like to combine cultural sight seeings with leisure time in nature and on not-too-crowded beaches.
We already exchanged our house with Brazil, Bordeaux, the French alps, Provence, the Swiss mountains in Wallis, and it was always a great experience!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Sermoneta is the ideal place for an authentic experience of the Italian dolce vita, combining cultural visits of Rome (30 min away by train), Naples and Pompeii(1 hour and a half away), and the viciny (Sabaudia, Monte Circeo, the romantic garden of Ninfa, Ostia, etc), relaxing time with the near beaches (15 min away) and the possibility to walk in the mountains around the village.

Sermoneta is one of the most beautiful medieval village of Italy. It was built on the top of a rock to defend the Agro Pontino area. In Sermoneta one can walk on roads that have been paved during the 14th century, visit the majestic Princes Caetani's castle feeling like an 19th century traveler. On a the contrary of so many places in Italy, the village is still genuine since the magnificent Rome is swallowing all the touristic flows in the neighbourhood.

The beaches are only 15 min away by car. Located in the preserved nature park of Sabaudia, the beaches are really less crowded than in many other places in Italy. 5 min from the hill of Sermoneta, it is also possible to have a swim in reemergences of sulphurated water which are good for the skin.

Trains to Rome are scheduled every 30 min. So it is really easy to organize daily visits to Rome.

Sermoneta still has 2000 citizens - people whose family has lived there since centuries! The village is usually quiet but can be lively sometimes as the Sermonetans like gathering and spending time together. This is part of the Italian experience!
