Our home

Our apartment is part of a very old Tuscan farmhouse, renovated in 1995. On entering, you are greeted by a colourful and spacious living area with well-equipped kitchen, all in modern/pop style. Along the corridor you find one small bedroom with mezzanine bed, sofa bed and baby's cot. Further down, after the bathroom you reach the master bedroom which is very large, with marroccan 4-poster and walk-in wardrobe.
We have been living here since July 2004 and are gradually furnishing it the way we want it.
The walls are so thick that airconditioning is definitely not necessary - pyjamas in August are more likely to come in handy!
The apartment is on the ground floor and the entrance is through our private garden - not huge, but plenty big enough for a barbecue, sunbathing, breakfast, etc.

Who we are

  1. Matilda was born in June 2005, she is beautiful and as good as gold. Her mother, Elena, is a fashion designer from Sardinia with a passion for beautiful things. Dad (Tim) is from the UK and is in the tableware business - he loves music. We all like travelling, cooking/eating and enjoying life.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The house is on the outside of a small village with two or three shops (including a butcher who sells fantastic home-reared beef steaks!). We are less than two miles from a town of 22,000 inhabitants. Among other things it has a train station (30 mins to central Florence; 20 mins to Arezzo; less than 3 hours to Rome), a beautiful historic centre, great shopping and bars/restaurants. Within easy driving distance there is no end of attractions: Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, Chianti countryside, wine tasting, fashion outlets galore (Prada, Gucci, Armani, Fendi, D&G, etc.etc.etc.).
