Our home

The apartment is very pleasant and cozy although not very big. There's a living-room with a fully equipped kitchen and a convertible couch (sleeps two), a bathroom with bathtub and two bedrooms: one with a double bed (opening onto the garden) and one with bunk beds. The little garden is very green and shaded, it has an automatic watering system and a large table with a tiled bench and chairs.

Who we are

  1. I'm an Italian conference interpreter and translator and my husband is a French painter and decorator (the mosaic ceiling in the bathroom and the decorated ceiling in the bedroom are his work). We have two children: a 21 years old boy and a girl aged 11. We also have a young female dog but she doesn't have to travel always with us... We've already had two succesful house exchanges in 2009 and 2010.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The house is in Monteverde Vecchio, a very green and quiet area on top of the hill near Gianicolo, the Vatican and Trastevere. It's close to Trastevere train station (trains every 15 min to Fiumicino Airport). Within walking distance there is the largest green park of Rome (Villa Pamphili) and another smaller but beautiful park (Villa Sciarra). Near the house you will find shops, a big supermarket and the local open market. Within walking distance is also the famous flee-market of Porta Portese (every Sunday morning). Staying here you will be able to reach easily all the main tourist sites of Rome while enjoying the quiet and friendly atmosphere of one of the most pleasant residential areas of the city.
