Our home

Our home is a charming, full of sun light, 200 sqm apartment set in a 1920's style building. From all windows(3rd floor)there is a stunning view on ancient rome. We are located in the the heart of the city in the area of Gianicolo. Gianicolo is a beautiful area positioned right on top of Trastevere. Our apartment is right in front of two of the most beautiful parks of Rome: Villa Pamphili and Villa Sciarra. Its a very quiet area, out of the smog of the city although smack in the center and walking distance from all major archeological sites. The main livingroom is very spacious with dining and living room area all in an open space overlooking wonder views. The master bedroom has a king size bed while the other two bedrooms have double bed foutons. There are 2 bathrooms, one with bathtub and the other with shower. Fully equipped kitchen as i love cooking! Our house is full of sun, beautiful views and charming old furniture. We have a private parking place in a covered garage for your car, if needed and many bicycles.

Who we are

  1. My husband Andrea is an architect and I am in the restaurant business, see see my Homepage. Our house reflexes our style of life: spacious, full of light, relaxed and layedback atmosphere. There is nothing in the house that need to be looked after as pavements are authentic 1920 Venetian style marble absolutely beautiful and furniture is comfortable design, made to be used! Our two children, Giorgio 7yrs and Tommy 5yrs, are full of toys, dvds, bicycles, colors ect...so if your travelling with kids you will find all you need in their rooms.
We love travelling around the world and now that we have two little boys with us we feel that staying in a house is really so so much easier that staying in hotels! Rome is the eternal city and the weather here is generally great all year round.
As i am writing this brief introduction it's the 26th of October and i'm still in short sleeves, blue sky and about to hop out to have a nice pizza!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Gianicolo is a beautiful area of Rome. It is especially known for the view! Gianocolo is an area on the tip of one of the seven historical Roman hills. The area is full of beautiful 19th and 20th century architecture. Villa Pamphili (the largest park in Rome) is walking distance. Trastevere (historical area know for nightlife, restaurants, beautiful little roads and piazzas...) is also walking distance. Our neighborhood is now principally young families and roman professional, journalists, writers. You are welcome to use our bicycles but you need to be fit as we're ontop of a hill! Discover Villa Pamphili (Europe's biggest urban park with 200 hectares of beatiful landscapes). Inside the park I own a charming Bistrot VIVIBISTROT.COM where you can have a wonderful breakfast and healthy lunch! Gianicolo is also know for its breathtaking views. From our living room there is stunning view. Gianicolo si a very safe location as it's the area where embassies and the American Institute is. A bus takes you in 5 stops right down into the old center of Rome. You are walking distance from trastevere, the tiber river, ghetto area, campo dei fiori, saint peters ect...
