Our home

The apartment is quiet and comfortable; very close to the city center (Trastevere). We usually walk to go to historic center. Easy to reach from airport Fiumicino. The panoramic terrace is like a small garden, with many plants and flowers, table, chairs, BBQ and an awning to keep it cooler when it's hot. It's on the last floor of a four-floor building of the '60 (with elevator). It has a living/dining area, with TV and piano, kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with bath, the other with a shower. Two bedrooms have a king-size bed, the other (guest room/study) has a single size bed (mt 1,85x70). All rooms have ceiling fans.
There's a private park-place, in case you want to drive to us.

Who we are

  1. We are Giovanna and Roberto, teachers of Italian and Latin. We both are 56. We already enjoyed over 10 exchanges and all were beautiful experiences. Our sons Arturo and Daniele are living in Rome but not in our house and they are not supposed to come with us. Eventually we will travel with friends.
We are open to long-weekend exchanges in Italy during the whole year, or a 10 days/two-weeks one but only during summer school holidays in July/August. EXCHANGES NEED NOT TO BE SIMULTANEOUS.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The apartment is located in a popular residential area called Monteverde Vecchio, an hill overlooking Trastevere. The position is windy, that is very comfortable with hot weather. Through a walk distance you can reach Stazione Trastevere where trains from Fiumicino airport stops. Old Trastevere is one of the most touristic area of the town, full of everything you expect to find in Rome, but new Trastevere and Monteverde Vecchio are authentic normal Roman neighborhoods where you can find bakery, groceries, farmers markets and supermarkets, ironmongery, gelatai, ecc... Many buses and trams stops very frequently on nearby viale Trastevere.
