Our home

Please note we DO NOT offer exchanges between April and October 2017!!! In order to avoid disappointment , please do not make inquiries for the summer time as this is a commerical property mainly, used for profit. The Golden Vaults is an ancient, beautiful and traditional Amalfitan two stories house with two separate entrances made of two disconnected apartments.
It has been carefully restored to conserve its character and the charm of its original structure while infusing it with the stylish elegance of a contemporary home. The cool decor, high domed ceilings and traditional stylish Vietri and terracotta tiled floor frame modern furniture and carefully chosen fabrics.
This advert is only for the first floor which consists of a small courtyard that invites you to the front door. You enter the living room includes a sofa, a dining table with 4 chairs, a Smart-TV connected to the Internet on which you can broadcast your home TV plan, YouTube or Radio Tuning. The well fitted kitchenette consists of everything a modern kitchen requires: electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, 4 burner stove, cutlery, cookware and dishes, Italian moka coffee machine and American filter coffee machine. The floor has two bedrooms. One double bedroom (consisting of two single beds, that can be transformed into a king size bed) has a beautiful, blue tiled bathroom en-suite with enclosed shower, wash basin and toilet. The larger bedroom has a regular size double bed. This bedroom's bathroom is tiled in pretty green and equipped with enclosed shower, washbasin, bidet, toilet and clothes washer. Both bedrooms have access to the small private Sea View Balcony. On request we can add a folder bed in the entry living room. A total of 5 guests could sleep on the first floor.
The property is well connected to the village centre. There is a bus stop for local transportation just a few meters from the home. The bus loops the village every hour. You pay as you go at a mere 1 euro per ride. You can get to La Praia beach within a 5 to 10 minutes ride. Or, you can walk down, enjoying the beautiful scenery in approximately 20 minutes, using the public steps and paths. At 300 meters our guests can hop on the bus to Positano from Piazza San Luca. The Sita bus stop is located 1 km away and you can access it by using the local Praiano internal bus. Sitabus serves the entire Amalfi Coast, from Sorrento to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello.
Should our guests be interested in traveling to Capri by boat, you can use either Positano harbor or La Praia as your starting point. Water taxis are also available for a wonderful day out with your family or friends cruising our shimmering Mediterranean Sea. Having a car while you are a guest here will not be a problem. Free parking space is generally available on the near communal street. Should you prefer a private parking spot, we can arrange if for you at the daily rate of euro 15, per car.
Our guests should note that this property has the privilege of having a very limited number of stairs to be climbed to reach the front doors of both floors; this is a rarity for the Amalfi coast properties.
Please do not request exchanges between April to mid-October as we rent the house for profit during that period of the year. You can request to rent it for a fee at : We are open to accept swaps only from October 2017. The house has been rented already for most on the high season 2017.

Who we are

  1. My family is composed by me, my wife and two grown up children that rarely will travel with us. We are happy to exchange our home in low season (Mid October - Mid-April) being a commercial holiday rental as well.). We might think of doing it in high season. We do not need to do it simultaneously as this is our second home in Praiano. We are open to any location in Italy and Europe, but our preferences are large towns. We are not interested in exchanges for summer holiday destinations sea-side as we live on the Amalfi Coast and “tired of it” … just joking… we would never be tired of this anticipated paradise we live in!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live nearby, in 1 km ray. You will be able to contact us via phone or Internet, Whats-app instant messaging.
Our unit is very close to an internal communal road; guests need to climb a very small number of steps to reach the property. Ideal for a clientele that is reluctant to navigate steps or simply are unable and perfect for elderly people. Parking nearby is generally pretty simple and free of charge. Should guest require a private parking, this is possible at 15 euro a day, in a nearby location.
You will be immersed in a quiet part of he town where mostly locals live. Some of the oldest homes of Praiano are around here and you can admire the old architecture style used by local builder in the past. The view from the home embrace Conca Dei Marini, the Licosa and Salerno area, the shimmering Med and the entire Praiano east side.
You can start your trekking path directly from the house; reach Agerola or Nocelle and Positano from via Trivio. And get down to the beach of La Praia in 20 minutes by foot and return back using the local bus. Reach Positano or Amalfi within 30 minutes. A lovely boat day trip to Capri or visit to the two thousand years old well preserved roman towns of Ercolano and Pompeii. Why not pay a visit to the picturesque Naples and eat the most famous pizza of the entire planet?
