Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Ideally located as a touring base for the hills of Lunigiana; Northern Tuscany, Southern Tuscany and the famous UNESCO heritage sea towns of Lerici and the 5 Terre (Liguria) which can be reached by car in 30 mins.

This is a picturesque village soaked in culture and home to the noble Malaspina family. Today it plays host to the Malaspina foundation and Malaspina Museum, along with lively and prestigious "Bancarel Vino" (wine fest and national wine contest).

Coble stone paving, beautiful castle and typical Tuscan houses all nestled together in a circle and perched on a low hill,.

There are a number of excellent restaurants that offer wonderful Tuscan fare (porcini/ham/game/pasta/) as well as Pizzerias, one of which is within the village itself. There are plenty of local antique markets and medieval fairs.

A walkable path from the village, leads to the river with waterfalls where you can swim or fish.

Equiterme (Roman Sulfur Baths) and Skiing is less than 50 mins away and a local water resort with pools is within a 10 minute drive. There is also the famous Italian Riviera night club strip of Versilia (Viareggio)with numerous discos and restaurants as well as sandy beaches only 45 minutes by car. It is within an hour of Pisa airport.
