Property features

Who we are

  1. We are Helen and Stephen and have two children Poppy and Michele. We have lived in Italy for over 5 years now prior to moving here from the UK via Toronto, Canada. We have lots of friends in the area and are never short of assistance from either local Italians or Expats if required. We gave up the 'good life' of working 9 to 9, 6 days a week in an office job to become self employed about 3 years ago. We made a wonderful lifestyle change and now are able to spend quality time bringing up our children and managing both our property rental and house management services business. We still have lots of friends and family in the uk and are looking forward to be able to house swap with people interested in Italy. You can find out lots more about our property on our website

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our house nestles in an olive grove, surrounded by Chestnut and Oak woodland, the peace and tranquility is only surpassed by the outstanding views of the Umbrian countryside. Florence is only 90 minutes away which you can get to by car or by the excellant Train network. Rome is approx. 2 1/2 hours away and the beaches of the Adriatic 90 minutes away. Locally the 'capital' of Umbria is Perugia and is only 20 minutes away by car. There are numerous small villages around which are unexplored by most tourists. We are surrounded by a national park (Monte Tezio) and there are numerous walks of various difficulties within the area. There is a local village and shop less than 1 Km away. The nearest large town is Pierantonio which is less than a 10 minute drive away. The local vineyards are 15 minutes drive and major shopping complex 15 minutes. Assisi, birthplace of St. Francis, is only a 25 miles drive, with its exceptional Middle Age masterpieces, and Orvieto, with its astonishing Cathedral, is 70 miles away.
Closest airports are Perugia Regional Airport - Ryanair flies from Stansted to Perugia direct, Rome Fiumicino, Florence, Bologna or Ancona, depending on what air carrier you use.
