Who we are

  1. We are a family and this is our second home: we live in Rome. We all like to travel and we traveled a lot. But now it's difficult to travel together for jobs obligations and different holiday's periods. Father and mother, both retired, were a Vatican journalist and a TV producer. Sons are:
    - Tommaso,27, with his girfriend Federica, both graduated and now working. They went living in France and Spain, Québec and Argentina, went travelling from the top of the world (spent 4 days at Svalbard Island in 2006: have a look at the atlas to see how up it is!) to the mystical India (last summer).
    - Michele,25, a young film director assistant. He also like a lot to travel, but his work is poor of holidays and rarely in summer!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Panicale is a typical medieval Umbrian hill top town. Neighbor to the Tuscany and the Lake Trasimeno's south shore, it boasts 500 inhabitants, some people call it the balcony on Lago Trasimeno. The town is within short driving distance to Perugia, Orvieto, Montepulciano, Assisi, Cortona, Todi, Deruta, Siena and other well known towns worth visiting. To match these known towns are even more unknown towns, which regardless of their anonymity have much to offer in terms of cuisine, art and culture. Probably founded by the Etruscans, the town is now a quiet place with two principal churches, S. Michele (17c) and S. Sebastiano (which houses two good paintings by the famous painter Perugino), a circuit of medieval walls, a lot of old stone, and a fabulous view over Lake Trasimeno. If you think this is it, you are wrong. There is much more to see in the village as it has everything you may wish for your Italian holiday: A Theater that looks like a mini La Scala, grocery stores, hairdressers , flower shops, fine restaurants, police, medical clinic 24 hours, pharmacy, four cafes for your daily cappuccino fix, a piazza with marble fountain and on and on.
