Our home

This is our second house, renovated with new furnitures. There is a great light during all day. Living room is very spacious with two big sofas. You can choose where to eating: in the livingroom, in the kitchen or outside in the balcony! There is a big bedroom with 2 single beds, but we usually link them creating a double one! In the other room there is a bunk bed. These two rooms access to the balcony (as the kitchen and the livingroom). The third room has one bed above a wardrobe. There are two bathrooms, both with shower. The kitchen is very spacious, with all you need: dishwasher, oven, fridge, freezer, spacious pantry, and also a table. There is a little closet with a washing&drier machine and everything for housekeeping (I can't take a good viewpoint for the picture of the closet!). There are also 3 fans, just in case it's hot in summer! We love this house even though is the second one: we frequently host friends and they always felt comfortable. We also hosted students, so our house is good for anyone, including families. Wifi is also available.
There is a garage for the car, but if you like you can leave the car outside: there are many free parking spaces.
The apartment is on the second floor, but there's no elevator.

Who we are

  1. I'm a Biomedical Engineer, and I'm going to continue my studies in Stockholm at KTH, Sweden. I love reading and of course I definitely love travel!

There are five people in my family. Massimo and Francesca, our parents, then Riccardo 26 years old, Teresa (me) 24, Alberto 21. We usually travel in four.

We really like travel "on the road". We like keep our car and go visiting cities. The amazing thing is that driving through a country we can also enjoy views and sometimes we find ourselves deep in nature. For example in 2010 we travelled through France in 2 weeks, visiting *lots* of cities and villages, and driving from one city to another we saw beautiful landscapes!! One other very special holiday was in Scotland, in the middle of nowhere, surrounding only by green and sheeps...crazy and amazing! Wonderful! This summer we visit the Netherlands, that we loved, and we spent a week in Belgium with our first home exchange which went perfect!! So, shortly, we like these two aspects of a journey: cultural trail and funny activities in towns and quite company of nature :)

(I speak only Italian and English, and my dad speaks French and a bit of Spanish)

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The house is located in a quite zone, near a garden with a basketball field, in front of the primary school. You can see them from the balcony!
There is a supermarket at 300mt, and the tram stop also at 300mt.
With the tram you can easily go in the city center (10 minutes to Prato della Valle).
There are many pizzeria, bakeries, ice cream parlours, and any kind of shop. There is a shopping plaza at 1,3km.
It's also a good area for a quite walk.

Padova is a great city: there are museums and galleries, as the Museo degli Eremitani with the beautiful Cappella degli Scrovegni painted by Giotto. Ancient buildings like the Caffè Pedrocchi, the Municipio, the Palazzo della Ragione and of course the University Il Palazzo del Bo, with Galileo's desk! Beautiful squares like Prato della Valle (the 2nd biggest square of Europe), Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza della Frutta, Piazza dei Signori. The Basilica di Sant'Antonio and the Basilica di Santa Giustina attract lots of people every year.
At night you can go out for a walk or for a dance at the disco!
If you like sports you can go running on the river bank where there's a training route; there are 3 swimming pools and lots of gyms.
But if you like cycling, Padova is great by bike: we fortunately have lots of cycling lanes!
If you're tired of Padova you can easily arrive to the spectacular Venice! You can reach it by car (45km) or by train (30minutes).
You can also visit Verona and Vicenza!
If you have time and your kids (but also adults!) want to have fun, you can reach Gardaland (the Fun Park on Lago di Garda) in a bit more than 1 hour (110km).
You can also reach the sea in 1 hour (Chioggia-Sottomarina, Lido di Venezia, Rosolina).
