Our home

Our home is a small tiny newly restored second house which we use when we go back from the city. It is right in the centre of the historical part of a very small and fascinating village, whose houses are mostly built in basalt stones. The house is fully equipped and it's a good place for a couple (plus one or two children) who like to spend most of the time in outdoor activites in the beach, countryside, mountains and hills that surround the village.

Who we are

  1. We are a young couple (30 yrs) with no children. We work and live in the main city of Sardinia (Cagliari) and we are exerienced travellers. We speak several languages and we are amazed by not turistic destinations and ways of travelling. We have never exchanged a house before but very often hosted people from many countries in the world. We are keen to visit new places and we are at disposal through e-mail, MSN, telephone to discuss all the details of the exchange.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The village, called Narbolia is 15 km from Oristano, one of the main cities of Sardinia. It lies on the foothills of Montiferru where lots of archeological sites are found and where there are large possibilities of trekking, hiking, mountaineering. It is 10 km away from marvelous sea sites (S'Archittu, Santa Caterina di Pittinuri, Is Aruttas, Putzu Idu) easy to reach but also charming small bays in the middle of the wildness (Su Riu, Is Benas). The area is an amazing place during summertime but it is also worth visiting in winter if you want to live a unique experience with the hospitality of local people and if you want to spend a very mild wintertime visiting the surrounding stone made towns and the local food-related fairs. It is the ideal place to discover part of the ancient sardinian traditions related to food, ways of life, celebrations, etc. This is also made possible by the very small size of the village (1800 inhabitants) where almost everybody know each other and usually open their houses to interested foreigners. But don't worry you can as well have your total privacy!!
