Our home

My family has owned this home since 1975, the year I was born!
We spent so many holidays and family reunion in this home during the years. It is a typical mountain house,on the third floor (only stairs) with a lot of wood and a cozy feeling.
The house has one kingsize bedroom, the whole bedroom walls are covered in wood and it has a windows from where you can see Mount Pelmo (especially nice during sunset).
The other bedroom has a castle bed and another single bed, a wardrobe and a window with terrace.
The living room has a three places sofas, two big armchairs and a bench under a big window looking at the mountains. In the living room there is also the dining area, with a L shaped bench. The whole wall is covered with "buon ricordo"(good memory) plates (typical restaurants around Italy that gives an hand painted plate as a memory)
There is also a fireplace.
The kitchen is small but equipped with 4 burns, heat oven, microwave oven, fridge with a small freezer compartment.
The area:
The ski area is called "comprensorio sciistico del Civetta" http://www.skicivetta.com/modules/news/
and it is part of the big and most amazing ski area named Dolomiti Super Ski http://www.dolomitisuperski.com/it
You can ski without running the same slope for days and days. All lifts are almost new and the ski slopes are prepared every single night! Plus, right out of our door, the main lift is also open for evening skiing (usually 19-23), with two slopes (one red level and one black level) fully illuminated.
In the area you have plenty of fun and entertainment (not much night entertainment though).

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Most of the neighborhood are old times friends and all the apartments in the house are second house.
The small village of Pecol has two very good restaurants that are at walking distance from the house (well actually everything is at walking distance) and a Fantastic ice cream shop and cake shop! "Al Soler" is a must stop for the afternoon snack or after dinner.
There are also 4 mountain gear/ casual fashion shops. From Pecol you can also take some very nice day trip, like Cortina, Alleghe, Serrai di sottoguda or just drive around, there are beautiful sceneries all around.
If you have to fly in the closest international airports are Treviso for Europeans (Serves Ryanair and Swizair) Venice (1 and half hour driving) and Verona.
