Our home

My flat is a tiny Aeolian House: there are only two bedrooms (up to four people), a toilette with the shower (not tub) and a small kitchen. And each room is very simply-furnitured. There are two gorgeous terraces, though: a smaller one is just outside the kitchen, and it is a sort of patio, so that you can eat your lunch outside, enjoying a great panorama, since this terrace can be considered a sort of "balcony" onto the seaside. The largest terrace is surrounded by the Mediterranean vegetation; it faces the seaside too, and gives you the chance to "sunbath" in absolute privacy and peace. Please, do note that there are some stairs to go up in order to reach the flat: it's like a fourth floor, since you have to climb the old path which wirls uphill.

Who we are

  1. Vincenzo (36) and Lino (44) - the two travellers - are two teachers. We enjoy travelling, not as a 5-star resort experience, but as an inner experience that leads us to meet and know both new places and, above all, new people. We love houses close to natural environments: sea, fields, mountain, countryside are our favourite target. Lino is a marathon-runner, and Vincenzo loves walking and hiking. We both enjoy more an outside-spent vacation, rather than a holiday spent inside, no matter how deluxe the accomodation is.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The seaside is just downstairs. It is not a sandy beach, though: no beaches in the whole isle of Salina. So the seaside consists of pebbles, which is a guarantee of clean and transparent sea-water. Salina is the second largest of the seven Aeolian Islands, an archipelago off the Sicilian northern coast. Its central position is ideal for trips to the other islands, full of volcanic heritage and breathtaking panoramas. Salina itself is great bith sea-wise and as a place for to discover the beauty and the peace of a mountain environment. Its highest peak tops at 993 metres (about 3000 feet), and the vegetation is alpine-like, even in the very middle of the Mediterranean sea.
