Our home

Our flat was once an ancient 'frantoio' (olive mill), untill the end of the first world war. It is one of the most ancient buildings there. The walls are very thick so home is never hot and never cold. It's on the ground floor with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a living room with cooking area and an additional sofa bed.Nexto to it there is a little studio for 2, independent which we can also exchange. Both homes are peaceful, simple but comfortable. We do not have a garden but in 3 minutes you can walk to the nice garden by the beach where you can have a capuccino or a meal at a cafè. Or drive to Tuscany in 30 minutes. As soon as possible I'll take photos of the flat inside and add them.It is possible to rent in case we cannot swap.

Who we are

  1. In our fifties me and my husband sometime travel together sometimes with friends. I was a teacher, my husband Giorgio a professional. We are interested in visiting gardens, parks, art galleries concerts (jazz particularly), historical cities.
We do not smoke and are respectful of other's properties. A final cleaning by a maid of both homes would be appreciated.
We would expect to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first to see how best we can facilitate their stay in Italy. Friends of ours could help with information.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The ancient 'borgata marinara' where it is located is a delicious old village of ship makers. Here you can see beautiful ancient sailing boats, the remainings of a Roman Villa, breathtaking views from paths for every possibility. From here you can quickly reach Le Cinque Terre, Tuscany, Palmaria Island, mountain walks, and beautiful seaside resorts.
