Our home

Our home is spacious, bright, modern and child friendly. Newly renovated in 2015, we have created our dream which is a pleasure to come home to everyday. Our open plan design gives plenty of space for children and adults alike.

Our kitchen/living has sea views and two balconies which get the sun from noon.

We have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. 1 King sized bed in the master bedroom, bunk beds in the kids room with a third bed option and a baby cot, 1 comfortable sofa bed in the third room. We also have a fantastic 12 seaters sofa in the living which can turn into the biggest bed of the home.

We have toys and books for children although we are not over run with them.

Storage is plentiful, with large wardrobes and a cloakroom in the entrance.

We are on the 5th floor of 6.

Who we are

  1. We are Michael(34) and Arianna(31), married since 2012 with 2 children, Chloe(5) and jack(3). We are an Irish/Italian family, living in Italy although we spend Christmases and Summers in Ireland, mostly around Donegal.

We run our own business, here in Italy, which gives us a lot of flexibility on holiday dates.

We are a sporty family, always out with our kids on bikes or skateboards however surfing is our passion so a house beside a nice beach would be ideal although we are interested in anything from mountains and lakes to cultural cities also.

We love to travel, explore and are keen to show our children the world. We met in 2009 in Australia and since then we have moved house 3 times, completely renovated our home, had 2 children, got married and started our own company. We still have a lot more big plans for the future but for now it has been a real roller coaster.

We are new to home swapping and are looking forward to getting to know new people and hearing your stories.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Pegli is a residential area in the suburbs of Genova, it was initially a renowned spa and has maintained its orientation as a seaside resort despite the industrialization of the city. It is a popular resort for foreigners who enjoy the village seaside effect it offers. The all year round mild climate of Pegli is just second to that of Ospedaletti as the best in Liguria, thanks to the nearness of the sea and the mountains that shelter it from the north winds.

In and around Pegli you can visit some villas and museums of cultural and artisic interest and also the ruins of medieval times and the Liberty style villas.

Pope Benedict XV was born here as well as the singer/songwriter Fabrizio De André

Noteworthy is the vast green area of Pegli, thanks to the presence of numerous villas and historic parks.

In Pegli you can find many clubs and places to practise sports; swimming, tennis , football, volleyball, basketball and watersports, thanks to the nearness of the sea.

The area is also famous for it's many restaurants and seafood menus.

Pegli is only 10 kms from the centre of vibrant Genova and is easily reached by bus or train. You can also avail of a ferry service leaving directly from Pegli to the famous port of Genova or(in summer) you can also go to the Cinque Terra or Portofino.

From Pegli you can easily reach Pisa, Florence, Milan and Nice(All around 200km away). Rome-500km, Venice-400km.

If the big cities are not your thing then just take a drive or a train anywhere along the coast and you will find some beautiful, characteristic smaller towns with plenty of wonderful things to do.
