Our home

We're proud to say that our home is one of the most beautiful residences in the center of Florence. It is the noble floor (Second floor) of a Renaissance building, renovated and restored in the years when Florence was the capital of Italy (1864-1870). We ourselves did a large renovation work during the Eighties, keeping the original structure of the residence. The common spaces are very large and richly furnished. The East side af the house faces a large, bright and silent garden. In the basement there is a Gym.

Who we are

  1. We are a couple of retired teachers, in our early seventies, spending our time with our daughters and granchildren, and living and traveling between Florence, Chicago, Salina in the Eolian Islands, and the rest of the world.

Your neighbourhood

Via de' Bardi is 350 meters from the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio) which represents the Center of the city. It is a peaceful Street, untouched by the masses of tourists normally flooding the downtown area. Supermarkets, shops, restaurants, theaters are at a walking distance.
