Our home

Our flat is in an old building at the top (4th)floor with no elevator. It's on two floors: downstairs there are a livingroom, a big kitchen with a dining room, one bedroom and a bathroom. Upstairs there is a studio with two desks and the computer and the children's bedroom with a little bathroom (no shower). It is a typical 1400 Florence apartment, very cosy and lighty, which offers a great view on hills and monuments.

Who we are

  1. We are a couple (Alessandra and Marco) with two daughters (20 and 14). Marco is a photographer and I am a documentalist in a research institute. We love listening and playing music, reading and travelling. We have two cats - Sofia and Romeo - that we would prefer to leave at home when we go abroad; however, they are only optional if you want to care for them. Our housemaid will be available for any problems you may encounter. We'll give you her contacts (she speaks Italian, Spanish and some English). We are sure you'll have a good time at our place.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our home is in the centre of Florence, on the left side of the Arno river, very close to the famous Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio) and all the monuments, and 5 minutes walking from Piazzale Michelangelo, from where you have the best view of the city. The area is very alive in the night: there are many good cafes and restaurants. It is also a very green area with beautiful parks and a playgroud for kids. We have never had problems with our neighbours. The area (called San Niccolò) is like a little village in the city, with very friendly people.
