Our home

Our home is spacious and sunny. It has four big bedrooms - all of them with either two single beds or a double bed. There's a big living room, a kitchen, two bathrooms - one with tub and the other with shower and a small balcony with a great view over the San Lorenzo Church and the Duomo. The apartment has all you need and if you travel with kids there are plenty of toys, lego duplo, dvds and much more. It is a third floor - without elevetor... sigh!! - with a great view and lots lots of light. When you cook you can look at the duomo and campanile di giotto just outside the window!

Who we are

  1. We are a family of five: I, Camilla work with my husband as a graphic designer for his works. Alessandro is a photographer. I am 39 and he is 43. We have 3 kids: sara is soon to be 7, Lorenzo is 2 and Francesco only 1. Plus we have two dogs: an old beagle Rebecca who's turning 14 next year and Lucky a puppy of Cavalier king. And also we have 3 cats, all around 10, nice and quiete. We have never exchanged before but we think this could be a great opportunity for our family to travel and know new places. Sometimes it is hard to travel with small kids because it is hard to arrange things in hotels or hostels so we think that exchanging houses is a great opportunity. Also we think that the exchange can be a way to learn more about other countries and people. When we travel we take the dogs with us and leave the cats at home.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our house is in the very heart of Florence. We cannot say that it is some "walking distance" to anything because it IS in the historical center. We buy food - great fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and more - at the Central Market in San Lorenzo just round the corner because it is the closest we have to our house. Staying here means living in Florence 100%. Just downstairs it is full of small shops, restaurants, osterie, museums. Round the corner there's the Accademia Museum with the famous David of Michelangelo. What's great about our house is that you are so very much into the center but then when you can back home you have such great view over the hills and everything around. This gives you a great feeling of freedom, though you can find truely the world at your feet when you go downstairs.
