Our home

The apartment is in on third and last floor of a building placed on the avenue that surrounds the centre of Florence. (see map and photos)
It isn't big (around 600 sq. feet) but the roof is high (around 19 feet, typical of historical buildings in Florence) so it is provided with two galleries, one in the bedroom and one in the living room, that create a kind of two more little rooms.
It's composed of:
- a living room/kitchen with a gallery with an air mattress for two people; the living part with contains an IKEA sofa convertible in a double bed, TV, DVD player, etc. the kitchen part is provided with dishwasher, flames, over, microwave oven, juice extractor for vegetables and fruits, all the furniture to cook and eat.
- An hallway with the bathroom on one side and a little room with washing machine and dryer on the other.
- A bed room with a huge mattress (7 ft 8' long, 6 ft 4' wide) on the gallery, so the "ground floor" has free space.
Has been fully renovated 3 years ago, brain new roof; single heating system and air conditioner.
No elevator.

Property features

Who we are

  1. Our name are Stefano and Cristina, 57 and 54 years old.
The apartment that we offer is Stefano's home, in Florence; Cristina lives near Perugia.
We're both divorced with sons and daughters (4 in total) pretty old (between 17 an 34 years old), and it's 12 years that we live this love story with 100 miles of distance.
Stefano is a tax and administration consultant and a former basketball player (that's the reason for the huge bed), Cristina is partner and manager of a Company of trading on line and a former University law professor (until when she decided that life is a lot better up in the hills, with good friends, fresh air, and roes and boars).
If there is an interest, it's possible to organize a stay even in Cristina's home: a wonderful place between the hills of Umbria, less than 30 minutes of drive from Perugia, Gubbio, Assisi, Spello, and all the others medieval towns in Umbria.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The building is 1,5 km (18 minutes walk) from Duomo, 3 more minutes from Piazza della Signoria and Museo degli Uffizi, 5 more minutes from Ponte Vecchio; 10 minutes of walk from train station.
The neighborhood is partly homes and partly offices, so:
- is provided with a lot of good bars (within 300 ft from the house there are two very good ones) and restaurants (few typical Florentine taverns, one of the best Chinese an Japanese restaurants, a very good vegetarian restaurant)
- it's not too crowdy, and there are no parking problems in the evening and night.
We think Florence doesn't need description and adjectives...
