Our home

Our lovely penthouse is recently restored with all rooms having stunning views over Florence's most famous monuments, a stone fireplace, terraces and baclonies, with views of the city and distant mountains, a large lounge room, large marble kitchen, dining room with french doors. We have four bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a spa bath. The apartment has classic wooden flooring throughout. It is beautifully decorated with an eclectic mix of antique and contemporary furnishings, sculptures and paintings. The apartment is superbly located within 100 metres of the famous Ponte Vecchio bridge in the old centre of Florence on a quiet leafy street overlooking gardens and a huge old magnolia tree. Two of the bedrooms have balconies with stunning views of the Duomo. There is a TV, sound system and video with a large CD collection. The apartment is very airy, light, clean and tidy and perfect for a stay in Florence. We have a lift. Our home is always very clean. Also see our Tuscany 500 year old newly restored large Tuscan country house superbly located 20 mins to Florence. We are currently enjoying restoring and decorating our large Tuscan country house. It has three large bedrooms, two lounge rooms, eat in kitchen, two bathrooms, and a covered ?loggia' verandah, large hand carved stone fireplace, high quality kitchen appliances, antique furniture and a large garden. We are currently applying for pool planning permission. The house is a typical Tuscan stone house and is 500 year.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The Oltrarno is much sought after being centrally located amidst Florence's most famous sights. Our street, Costa San Giorgio is nestled between the river near the historic Ponte Vecchio, Pitti Palace and Church of Santa Felicita where famous artists have their work. It's an area dripping with history from the medieval artisans quarters to the strange nun's chapel bridge that used to stand close by. There's also the Uffizi gallery (one of the most famous galleries in the world) with such masterpieces as Botticelli's Prima Vera and the Birth of Venus where our entertaining guides can enlighten you on the nefarious activities of the well known artists featured (see "About Us" below). Also within five- ten minutes walk are the Palazzo Vecchio (home to the Medici at one time and still now the town hall), the Duomo (symbol of Florence) Boboli gardens, and famous restaurants such as Enoteca Pinchiorri and Cibreo. Close by are wonderful nature walks along the river to the Ponte Vecchio and up to Piazzale Michelangelo with stunning views of Florence and the superbly beautiful monastery of San Miniato. Within twenty minutes walk you can be in the countryside with typical Tuscan vistas of olive groves, vineyards, cyprus pines and villas dotting the hills. Or you can head across the Ponte Vecchio to browse the famous craftsman's workshops of the Oltrarno and see wood carving, painting and gilding still being carried out in time honoured fashion. Other shopping alternatives close by.
