Property features

Who we are

  1. We are a Dutch couple about 60 years old that has moved to the Marches in Italy in 2008 from Amsterdam. We live here permanently and in summer we rent out the three apartments that are part of our country house (www.5alberi.com). Life is wonderful here, the house is situated at a good place, quiet, with beautiful views and always a nice breeze. Our two cats live on the terrain.

We like to changes houses, or stay in your holiday or second home in autumn or winter. To stay with us will be best in spring or autumn, because in summer we rent out the apartments. And winter is not such a good time to stay here in the Marche in Italy.

If you decide to spend some time in one of our apartments, we are here to advice you what to do and where to go, if you like. If you come by plane, you arrive at Falconara Airport (25 km) or Bologna airport (200 km) where you can rent a car. You need a car because our house is in the country side. The nearest villages are Belvedere Ostrense (3 km) and Ostra (5km).

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The Marche, Italy.
The Marche...Dustin Hoffman's favourite Italian region....
The area of The Marche or 'Le Marche' is located between Tuscany and Umbria in the west side and the Adriatic Sea on the east side of Italy. It is one of the most beautiful areas in Italy and offers the perfect mix of peace, space, culture, delicious food, hospitable locals and wonderful nature. And...just a few tourists to enjoy all these delicacies!

The scenery varies from gently sloping hills on the coast, to the magnificent mountain landscape inland. Where ever you go, after every bend a surprising and impressive hillside view appears. Characteristic of this area is the patchwork of colors, the many shades of green of the olive groves en vineyards, the golden yellow of grain and the beaming yellow of the sunflowers.

Our country house is surrounded by 1 ha of terrain with lots of trees, a gazebo and a swimming pool, which is purified with salt. From the terrain there are splendid views over the rolling hills of the country side. Everything you need for a wonderful holiday! We are at the end of a white road, 1,3 km long, easy to reach.

We live only 18 km away from the Adriatic sea and the beautiful beaches of Senigallia.

The infrastructure in Le Marche is good, you can easily visit the higlights in one day, such as

- the 'velvet' beach of Senigallia
- the rocky coast near Ancona, Numana and Sirolo, the Adriatic coast
- the wonderful cathedral in Loreto, second pilgrimage in Europa

- Ravenna, Assissi, Perugia, Gubbio, Urbino
- opera in Macerata and the Rossini festival in Pesaro

- the Frasassi
 caves
- lots of protected areas to hike
- play golf at golfclub Conero

Concerning public transport, from the international airport of Falconara, Ancona (20 km) you can travel to a lot of destinations. By train you can travel easily from Senigallia and Jesi (12 km) to Rome, Bologna, Venice, Bari etc.

The highway network is good, the highway the A14 is just 20 km from here and leads from north to south along the Adriatic coast.
