Our home

We have a bright and large 2 bedroom, 2 balconies apartment in a residential area 15 min from the historical center and the Adriatic sea in Bari, south of Italy. The spacious living room (with a piano) also has a queen size sofa-bed which makes for a total of 6 comfortable beds (1 queen size, 2 single beds and 1 queen-size-sofa- bed). There is a quiet studio which faces the building private garden. The kitchen has a round expandable table for up to 6 people and the living room has another 6-seat table. Marble floors and windows in all the rooms.

Who we are

  1. Ciao, we are Vincenzo (a University Professor now at Imperial College London) and Lina, my mum, who is retired. As my brothers and I (31-33-35 year old) are all abroad (in Milan, NYC and London) she spends a lot of time visiting us and her relatives in Naples. Our house in Bari is therefore available for several weeks a year. August would be the easiest month for a swap and we would travel either alone or together. We're looking forward to meeting other fun, travel-lovers and to having a glimpse of their life in a different country. We are open to NON-SIMULTANEOUS exchanges as well.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The block is very quiet and residential with lots of local shops, restaurants, cafes, bookshops. The buzzing historical center, a 15 min car ride, offers a wide variety of entertainment: festivals, theaters, galleries, more restaurants and bars plus, of course, the old city with its walls, basilica and castle.
One of the richest in Italy for archeological findings, Puglia was settled from the 1st millennium BC by several Illyric and Italic peoples. In fact some of Italy's most interesting and undiscovered areas exist within the province of Bari and the region of Puglia including Alberobello, Ostuni, Trani, Gravina, Lecce. Puglia also has a lot to offer to outdoor (the Gargano with its mountains, and the Adriatic coast) and food+wine (one of main wine production in Italy) lovers.
