Our home

Our home is 7 years old, warm and spacious with an open plan layout. It sits on a 1 acre site with views of adjacent Lough (lake) and Croagh Patrick mountain, famous for its annual pilgrimige climb to the summit chapel.

The split level house consists of 4 bedrooms (1 en suite), 1 bathroom, 1 WC, and open plan dining, kitchen and family room. The upper level living room is still used as the boys playroom.

There is parking for up to 4 cars and a level lawn to use at your leisure.

We have a large family estate car and a small mpv, either of which we would gladly leave for use as part of our exchange. We also have 2 adult bicycles and 2 childrens bicycles suitable for 3-6 and 6-9 year olds.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We have two well-behaved young boys Tadhg, aged 9 and Reuben, 4 years old, who love the outdoors. We enjoy cycling and walking in the local area as well as exploring the many beautiful beaches. Robbie (an Architect) loves to golf as we have a number of championship courses close by. There is an active arts scene in and around Westport and Marian (a teacher) enjoys catching up on the gallery openings/film club & arts festivals etc.

This will be our first exchange and we look forward to sharing our much loved home and respecting yours in kind. We have family and friends living a stones throw away who can assist with most things, if required, during your visit.

We would love to exchange for the second week of April 2012 somewhere sunny & warm.

We also hope to visit relations in Sydney from late June 2013 to late July 2013.

There are additional photos and information available regarding our home and the surrounding area if required, feel free to contact us and best wishes with your 2012 exchange.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live close to the historic rural village of Aughagower, just 4 miles outside Westport, the first planned town in Ireland. Westport and the Clew Bay area are noted for their beauty, hospitality, good hotels & restaurants and lively pub atmosphere.

Award winning Blue Flag beaches, inshore sailing, fishing, golfing, hill walking, biking and riding, are just to name a few of the quality outdoor activities available in the immediate area.

Westport town itself offers some of the best hospitality to be had along the Atlantic seaboard.
