Our home

My home is a cozy and comfortable 1930's cottage bungalow. Anyone who has stayed has commented on the peace and tranquility of both the house and the surrounding area. I personally love the quietness and lack of streetlights at night! It has two double bedrooms, one bathroom with shower and bathtub, a fully equipped kitchen, a separate sitting room with working stove-fire and a separate lounge that opens onto a private patio & BBQ area with great views of Croagh Patrick (Ireland’s “holy mountain”). It also has ample parking space. A choice of beaches is 25minutes drive away and The Great Western Greenway, (www.greenway.ie) which is a 42km off-road walking and cycling trail, can be picked up at the end of my road.

Who we are

  1. I have been living in Westport for almost 10 years where I work as a private counselor and hypnotherapist. I also work in the corporate sector delivering motivational and wellbeing seminars – you can check me out on my Homepage! I am looking to exchange my house in August, preferably with car included in the exchange. This is my first time doing an exchange – I will treat your home with the respect it deserves.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Westport is one of Ireland’s major tourist destinations (www.westporttourism.ie). As a heritage town it offers a magnificent blend of traditional and cosmopolitan, from the cosiest corner of an old-style pub with traditional music sessions, to state-of-the-art modern shops, hotels and conference facilities - all within walking distance of each other. The famous mountain Croagh Patrick, one of Europe's best known places of pilgrimage, presents a striking backdrop to the town. Westport has a variety of beautiful, safe Blue Flag sandy beaches all within short driving distance on the North and South shores of Clew Bay. Some of the best beaches are relatively uncrowded and make for an excellent day out for families of all ages.

An excellent 18 hole Championship Golf Course, clay pigeon shooting, sea angling, fishing, sailing and yachting, swimming pools & leisure centres, cycling, pony trekking, hill walking, scuba diving, adventure sports, forest walks, guided walks, shopping, country markets and crafts are amongst the huge range of activities in and around Westport.
