Our home

Our home is just that - a home...alive with children, colour, pets, lovely garden, home-grown vegetables, egg-laying hens and ducks (don't worry, we can have them cared for during your stay if you don't want to take on our menagerie!). We live in the countryside in a beautiful new-build (with all mod-cons), but traditional country-style house, built in 1999. Our home is a Bungalow with an attic converstion. We are located on a beautiful, quiet country cul-de-sac which is flanked by a pretty forest walk, and, at the end of the cul de sac - Faithlegg House Hotel, leisure centre with swimming pool, gym, and golf club. We have lovely, friendly neighbours. We live close to beautiful seaside villages - Cheekpoint 1 mile, Passage East 2 miles, Dunmore East 5 miles, Tramore 8 miles, Woodstown 4 miles. We are only 5 miles from Waterford City Centre with all amenities. We are in a very special location, in a very special home. Please feel free to ask as many questions as you like. We can give you oodles of photos and references too.

Who we are

  1. David and I are in our early forties. We have 3 children - age 15, 7 and 5. We have never tried a house swop before and we're really excited at the idea. I work as a Radio producer. David is self-employed in catering and is our mainstay here - in terms of keeping this house afloat! We live in a lovely, happy house. We have two dogs, 1 cat, four hens, two ducks (but as i mentioned, we don't expect you to take on all that - unless you want to!!) You would be very welcome to use our home to explore the area. We would be happy for you to use our car/cars (with full driving licence and insurance verification etc). We hope this will be an exciting and interesting experience for all of us.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Very beautiful. Faithlegg is in the heart of the beautiful Countryside, on the South East Coast. We are 1 mile from Cheekpoint estuary where the famous three sisters (the rivers Barrow, Nore and Suir) meet the sea. The closest beach is two miles away. The fishing Village of Passage East is 2 miles away. Dunmore East, 5 miles. Tramore 8 miles. We are surrounded by really beautiful countryside but with the luxury of a top-class hotel at the end of our cul de sac (10 minutes walk) and a gorgeous country pub and restaurant - Jack Meades, 1 mile away. In Cheekpoint village 1 mile away, are two lovely restaurants - Mc Alpins and the Cottage Bistro. Lots of amenities nearby - horse-riding in Woodstown, surfing, nature walks and various water sports at Tramore; restaurants, traditional pubs, park, playground, pretty fishing village at Dunmore East. We are 15 miles from the Copper Coast Geopark and spectacular coastal drive. The beautiful and unspoilt Comeragh Mountains are 17 miles away. And there's lots more...google and you'll see!
