Our home

Our home is comfortable, warm and welcoming. The front of the house faces the sea with views of Cush Point, Lambay Island and the north coast of Dublin. The house is heated by a wood pellet boiler and a solar panel system. The kitchen is inviting, well equipped and we entertain frequently, it opens on to a bright living area, glass doors open on to a deck area with views of the garden. All bedrooms are cosy and relaxing, two of which have TV’s, and the main bedroom has a sea view. There is a large garden with a trampoline for the young at heart. An Xtrail jeep is also available for exchange.

Who we are

  1. My partner and I live here with my 23 year old daughter, having taken over the house from my parents 5 years ago. I operate my own accounting and bookkeeping business from home and my partner runs a farm in Co. Meath. We enjoy the lovely walks on the hill of Howth and on the beaches near by, we stretch our legs most evenings on the cause way directly opposite the house. Close proximity to Dublin by the DART system means it is rarely necessary take the car to the city centre, and we are fond of visits to the Abbey and many other theatres with in the city. My interests involve Patchwork and hand crafts, while my daughters interests are computer aided technology.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The house is situated at the base of the hill of Howth, and 2.5 miles from Howth harbour. Many fine restaurants and coffee shops can be found in Howth and in the near by villages of Malahide and Skerries. Malahide Castle is 5 miles, and Ardgillin Castle 10 miles from the house by car. The hill of Howth displays spectacular views of the coast line and two off shore islands. There are three beaches in the area and four Golf clubs along with fishing and hill walking. Dublin city is a 25 minute DART ride away, where shopping, Theatres, and Museums give a colourful history to the City. The DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transport) station is just 3 minutes from the house, giving easy access to Dublin City, or connecting transportation to the rest of Ireland. Historic Tara and New grange World Heritage site is an hour’s drive from Sutton, while Northern Ireland can be reached with 2 hours. The Dublin orbital motorway (M50) which connects to all major roads to cities North South and West of Ireland can be reached within 5 minuts of the house.
