Our home

We built our two storey home in 2003, its consists of 4 bedrooms all en-suite, study, living room, dining room, kitchen, separate utility room/basement. It is on one acre of landscaped gardens with panoramic views overlooking Lough Gill. We are a two minute walk from Parkes Castle and to the rear of our house are mountains, forest and river walkways.

Property features

Who we are

  1. Our names are Peter and Dorothy and we have 3 girls ages 9, 14 and 16. We met in San Francisco and lived there for over 9 years. We have lived in Ireland for the last 14 years. Peter has been offered a job in New York so we plan to return to the States with the girls so we can experience together what only America can offer! (before they fly the nest!) We are first time home ex-changers!

Your neighbourhood

We live in the North West of Ireland in County Sligo (Yeats County). We are within a ten minute drive of Sligo City and a seven minute drive to Dromahair our local village which has a Church, Post Office, Library, Health Centre, Restaurant, Park,Hairdressers, Butchers and Traditional Irish Pubs.
There are a number of beaches and golf clubs within a 20 minute drive, eg:
Rosses Point, Streedagh and Strandhill. On Saturdays a farmers market is held in Sligo and Rathcormac from 9-1pm. The magic of Lough Gill extends beyond the lake, the magnificent fishing and the solitude. Lough Gill covers an area of approximately 3,300 acres with its history, archeology, wildlife and great natural beauty---Something for everyone
