Our home

Our new home comprises a pretty kitchen with breakfast table, cooker with grill, oven and extractor fan, microwave, fridgefreezer and dishwasher. Our livingroom contains a large fireplace, couch, TV with DVD, (we do not have TV channels, the TV is only for DVDs), our dining room has a table and chairs and lovely views of the hills. There are four bedrooms, all en-suite with toilets, handbasins and showers; two are double and the third and fourth are our childrens' single rooms, complete with toys. There is a separate bathroom with bath. We have wifi with 3G internet access (1Mb/s download speeds).

Who we are

  1. Our family consists of Ciaran and Helen and our two children, Brid (13) and Tom (10). Ciaran is a secondary school teacher and Helen is a stay-at-home mother. We enjoy travelling during school breaks; our travelling party usually includes Helen's retired parents.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live in the heart of the country in the Wicklow hills; however, we are only 20 minutes from the main Dublin road. We are 25 mins from Glendalough, one of the most important Early Christian sites in Ireland, and a must-see for visitors, and en-route is a children's water park. The local activities include golf and horse-riding, with two adventure centres catering for both adults and children. While there are villages and small towns around, the main local towns are Arklow and Carlow, with the outskirts of Dublin only 60 minutes away. Hill-walking is very popular in our area, on the Wicklow Way.
