Our home

Our family home is situated in a pretty village called Leixlip 30 minutes from Dublin city centre which is accessible either by bus/train 15/5 minutes walk from our house. We have three young children so the house is equipped to welcome families but also is a relaxing place for couples to enjoy.
We love to cook so our kitchen is always in use, we also have a outdoor dining table when there is good weather! The house is in a quiet neighbourhood with local shops 15 minutes walk away.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Leixlip is a small village that is only 30 minutes from Dublin. The 66abs takes you right to the centre and the bus stop is only 5 minutes walk from our house. The train station is 15 minutes walk from our front door and takes you to Connolly/Pearse station.
Leixlip has some beautiful walks that we enjoy as a family, there is a tranquil path by the river that leads down to a castle that is owned by the Guinness family. The village has a couple of Italian restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and large supermarkets.
The Salmon Leap pub serves great food and has a cosy atmosphere.
We also drive ten minutes to Castletown House which is a beautiful old house with large grounds for walks and feeding the ducks (which the kids love).
Carton House is 15 minutes drive away, it has a golf course but also a beautiful area to bike/walk around.
It is really nice to come back and relax in a lovely village after spending the day sightseeing.
We are 2 Hrs from Galway city, 1hr50 mins drive from Belfast and 2hr 45 from Cork city.
