Our home

Our home is located in the countryside just 10 minutes drive from medieval Limerick city and beside the historic Glenstal Abbey. Its a two storey house, with four bedrooms, two bathrooms upstairs. Downstairs there is sitting cum diningroom and a TV room. Our kitchen is large and great for those who like cooking also with lots of great cook books.
Outside we have lots of space with swings, a slide. There are four bicycles in the shed two for adults and two for children. We also have plenty rackets etc for playing outside.
Our two cats live outside and our four hens will provide you with fresh eggs every day. If you are away for a few days we can arrange for someone to look after them.

Your neighbourhood

Our countryside home is situated close to the village of Murroe. We are a five minute walk from the Clare glens where the breathtaking scenery of wild dense forest combined with the calm rushing of the crystal clear waters has inspired many an artist. Here you can enjoy great walks or after lots of rain go canoeing. A five minute drive in the opposite direction will bring you to Glenstal abbey, home to the Benedictine Monks, famed for their Gregorian chant.
The drive to Dublin will take about 2 hrs hours, Cork 1.5hrs, Galway 1.5hrs
If its walking you like there are lots of great mountains. We like walking the Galtee mountains about a 30 min drive away with their lovely lakes a true hidden gem.
Golf courses are in abundance the most notable being Adare and Dromoland both about a 15 min drive. Golf is often a way of life around here with many courses to choose from.
In Murroe we have a pitch and putt course.
Day trips to the Cliffs of Moher in Co. Clare to Kerry and to Dublin are all possible. Thats why Limerick is such a great location to base yourself.
