Our home

Have you heard of "The Wild Atlantic Way"? Have you read the review on Donegal in "National Geographic"? Wow! Donegal really is 'cool'.....
My home is located in a very tranquil cul-de-sac, a few minutes walk from the centre of Letterkenny town. The rear patio looks out on to an enclosed, private green area - perfect for taking the sun, having a BBQ, reading, relaxing....
The house has three levels. The main residence on 2 floors and there is a basement self-contained apartment which is a private, independent granny-flat for my mother.
On the ground-floor there is a spacious kitchen cum dining area with a fireplace. There is also a separate sitting-room with Sky television and broadband/internet
Upstairs, there are 4 double bedrooms and a bathroom with electric shower. There is a garden in front of the house and a parking -space outside the front door.
There are just eight houses in this cul-de-sac here and the area is very safe.
My neighbours are very warm and friendly.
The local shop is a 5 min walk from the house which is very handy for getting fresh bread and the daily newspapers etc in the morning!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

My home is ideally located for travelling to any part of Donegal during the day and getting home in time for dinner!
The town of Letterkenny has two parks, a fabulous leisure centre, a theatre, an omniplex cinema, tennis courts, very good restaurants and great pubs. There is a well-known Arts Festival each summer , known as the Eargail Arts Festival.
The famous Glenveagh National Park is just 30 mins away by car. Also, there are several beautiful sandy beaches within 30 mins drive eg Rathmullan, Marblehill, Dunfanaghy, Portsalon, Fahan, Downings (The Atlantic Drive) etc all part of "The Wild Atlantic Way"
Co. Donegal is the most picturesque county in Ireland!

The county also boasts the highest cliffs in Western Europe at Slieve League. This is one of my favourite parts of Ireland. It is located in SW Donegal, in the Irish-speaking 'Gaeltacht'.

Derry, the "City of Culture" 2013 is only 22 miles away.

My home is only 40 mins from Derry Airport (BMI Regionalflights from London Stansted)less than 2 hours from Belfast Airport, 2.30 hours from Knock and 3 .30 hours from Dublin. (The express bus leaves from outside the airport Route 32 to Letterkenny.)
