Our home

Our house is a lovely, spacious, comfortable and private bungalow. It is recently renovated and is perfectly located within 10 mins walk of Kinsale town, which is regarded as one of the most beautiful and popular towns in Ireland.
There are 4 good size bedrooms - master en-suite with dressing room. The living room/kitchen is a fantastic open plan room with a large glass wall/sliding doors to the patio area. The sitting room is also very large with great light and views. From the patio you can see the ocean and also Charles Fort and Kinsale Harbour.

We have a big garden with mature trees and different levels and areas which is perfect for children to play in and for the whole family to relax. It is also very safe for younger children.
There are plenty of toys and options for kids, including swings, a basketball net, goals, an outdoor table tennis table, a large trampoline...also suitable for adults!

The house is south facing - so makes the most of any sunshine. The house gets a lot of light at all times of the year.

We have had 3 very successful exchanges previously and really enjoyed the mutual benefits of the whole experience, so we look forward to many more wonderful exchanges and experiences. We will treat you home with great care as if it's our own.

Please ask if you have any further questions.

Who we are

  1. Hi there, we are a family of 6 - John (41) is an Engineer, Caitriona (41) a primary school teacher, with 4 fun loving and active children Roisin (2010), Jack (2011) & Cian (2013) & Garvan (2017)

We love living in Kinsale and are very proud of our home. We are also very passionate about travelling. Hence we are very excited about the prospect of sharing our home with others, and in return exploring other fantastic places. We will treat your home with the utmost respect.

We have completed three very successful exchanges so far, which both sides were very happy with. Although we are a big family, you don't have to worry about your home in our hands. Our children are very good, and we promise to treat your home as our own and leave it in as good a condition as we find it! We have also swapped cars successfully in the past and would be open to that in the future also.
We are looking forward to more successful trips and exchanges, both near and far, in the future! Please feel free to drop us a mail to make any proposition and ask if you have any further questions.

Thanks for reading and happy travels all! :-)

  2. We are sporty and enjoy spending time as a family outdoors, particularly at the beach or in the woods, or going for a family cycle.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Kinsale is widely regarded as one of the prettiest towns in Ireland. It is located on the south coast in County Cork, and is the starting point for the Wild Atlantic Way.

Kinsale also has numerous fantastic restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. Here are some further words by a better writer than me!

Originally a medieval fishing port, the stunning town of Kinsale is one of the most picturesque, popular and historic towns on the south west coast of Ireland, a region renowned for its rugged coastline.

Kinsale is an idyllic harbour location only 18 miles from Cork city. The starting point of the " Wild Atlantic Way", it is the gateway to west cork. Kinsale is a yachting and deep-sea angling centre and a world class golf destination.

Kinsale is a busy town for both locals and tourists. The colourful winding streets of Kinsale are a delight, and you will discover dozens of interesting shops for gifts, crafts, paintings, locally designed fashions, art galleries and books. Enjoy one of the guided historical walking tours or the hilarious ghost tour... or simply explore one of the sign posted walks along the coastal paths. Visit the historical forts of Jamesfort and Charlesfort, both just a short drive from Kinsale town.

Kinsale has earned the reputation of "Gourmet Capital of Ireland" with no shortage of cafes, pubs and restaurants to suit every taste and budget.

However relaxed or active you wish to be on your holiday, Kinsale offers you a world of choice but allows you to take things at your own pace.
