Our home

Our home is very comfortable with 3 bedrooms upstairs and main bathroom while downstairs the 4th bedroom is currently used as a playroom. We have a kitchen/diner with solid fuel stove. Off this room is a general purpose room and across the hall is our main sitting area with satellite T.V. and open fire. There is a large pool /air hockey table upstairs also. Outside we have a large garden with pond. The garden is a child's haven with swings, climbing frame, goalpost, tent, trampoline, scooters, bikes. We have 2 dogs in outdoor run, 2 cats and a rabbit. We have a good friend who can come in and feed our animals while we are away.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live about 20 minutes by foot from centre of town but McDonagh Junction shopping centre is 10 minutes walk away. Kilkenny is a medieval city steeped in history. Kilkenny Castle is in the heart of the city and is so worth a visit. It was owned by the Butler family and has been maintained and restored. Its grounds are wonderful for walking, cycling, playing ball or just a picnic. It has a playground also for the kids. Canice's Cathedral and round tower,Black Abbey, Smithwick's Brewery, Rothe House, Dunmore Caves, Jenkinstown Park are all worthy of a visit. Locally we have a state of the art public pool called the Watershed and bowling plus a cineplex. All minutes away by car. With the new motorway to Waterford, beaches are just an hour away. Dublin and Cork are just over an hour away.
