Our home

We have a mature, beautifully landscaped garden, with an acre of semi-mature woodland and manmade 15 meter pond (which you can swim in if you don't mind weeds, frogs, salamanders and fishes) with peaceful waterfall and decking. The rest is in pasture for our two pet angora goats and a mix of ponies. Downstairs is a sitting room with wood stove, a fully remodeled kitchen and master bedroom en suite. A utility room, study and storage area. Upstairs is the second large bedroom. Second bathroom and office.

Property features

Who we are

  1. I am from Dublin originally. My husband is originally from California. I dragged him back to Ireland 16 years ago, and he still thanks me. I am an Occupational Therapy Manager. My husband runs his own business as a copywriter and part-time screen writer. He also makes beautiful rustic furniture as a hobby, which you will get to see some samples of around the house. We don't have kids, but are animal nuts. We've two dogs and two cats, in addition to the rest of our 'crass menagerie.'

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live in the countryside, surrounded by fields and boglands where you can walk for miles and rarely bump into anyone. Yet we are a five-minute drive (4 miles) from Portarlington, a lively little town with with a national train station. Our capital city, Dublin, is only a 50-minute train ride (about an hour by car). Our central location means we're close to almost everything in this small island country.
