Our home

The house was built in 1997 and has three bedrooms with the main bedroom ensuite. All three bedrooms are furnished with double beds. The living room has a vaulted ceiling and large open fireplace. The living room dining room and main bedroom have spectacular views over Dunmanus bay. The house is nestled on a mountainside with a large garden and surrounded by rugged terrain.

The house is a second home which means non-simultaneous swaps could be considered. We are always open to visiting new places, anywhere in the world.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The house is situated in a remote but spectaularly beautiful part of the south west of Ireland and is located 1.5km from the nearest beach. The area is dotted with coves and beaches, and the villages are full of traditional Irish pubs. The nearest village is 4 miles away so a car is essential. The house is an ideal scenic getaway for those seeking solitude or adventure in a beautiful landscape. The location is also an ideal tourist base for exploring west Cork and Kerry and suitable for those seeking peace and quiet or outdoor adventure.

The west Cork coast is perfect for kayaking, wind/kitesurfing, surfing, and diving. Barleycove beach, located about 7km is ideal for surfing. Sailing courses and boat hire are also available in the tourist town of Schull which is 8km from the house. Bikes are available for use in the house if you wish to cycle along the coast or on mountain trails.

For a more relaxing holiday, the house location is ideal for walking, reading, relaxing on the beaches and fishing.

The website offers lots more ideas for active or relaxing things to do should you be interested in arranging a swap with us.
