Our home

Our home is really comfortable. Lots of light and great views. It is perched on a hill which allows for light to go through the house. There is great space inside and out. The house in 8 years old has underground heating and solar panels so in the summer there is lots of water for bathing. We like to pick up bits of art and there are over 1,000 vinyl records to choose from so I like to pick up records also. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. There are many bicycles to choose from just let me know and I can have bikes to choose from for different sizes and good routes that are safe and quiet around the house for those that want either long or short spins. The two main bedrooms have showers and toilets and then there is a main toilet upstairs and down. The kitchen is good for cooking and there are outdoor tables and barbcue.

Who we are

  1. Catherine Ann and myself Ciarán are temporarily in our 40's we have a baby who is 3.5 years old. We both work in education and are looking to get away to France or wherever in Late July/ August. We love walking and going out to restaurants. This location is really good for both. The house is on a quiet road and lots of small roads to stroll along without getting in the car but a car is essential to your stay in this house.

Your neighbourhood

Gateway to holiday in all of Ireland.
Holiday in a wonderful idyllic rural retreat that is just 5 minutes from Cashel town and also from Ireland’s main motorway, the M9. Cashel is a beautiful bustling town, full of character and history. The town has lovely restaurants and cafes. There are also good butchers, bakeries and a weekend outdoor market. Our home is comfortable, warm and bright and has panoramic views of four different mountain ranges . We have a large bbq and outdoor seating area for the warm days. For the wet day there are leisure centres within 10 minutes where you can swim get treatments or just have a sauna. Home to the Rock of Cashel and steeped in history, Cashel is an ideal base to visit all of Ireland. We are conveniently located less than an hour from Cork, Limerick and Waterford. Dublin is an hour and a half.
We are a perfect base for hill walkers. We are less than 20 minutes from the Galtee Mountains and the stunning Glen of Aherlow. Five minutes from our house is the lovely river walk which goes from Golden to Cashel. We have many bicycles if you wish to explore the area by bike. The stunning golf courses of Cahir, Dundrum and Clonmel are close by and I have golf clubs that you can use also. Just over the mountains is the picturesque town of Lismore. Lismore gardens and castle are high on any tourist’s agenda. The medieval city of Kilkenny is 45 minutes away. If you are interested in castles, Cahir castle, Kilkenny castle and Lismore are within easy commute. Enjoy quiet time in this lovely corner of the world.
