Our home

Our residence is in a quiet cul-de-sac in the village of Oranmore, 8 km from Galway - the cultural capital of the West of Ireland. The interior is modern, well-appointed and very comfortable - it is a very spacious house with a lovely open feel. It has four bedrooms, spacious living room, kitchen, bathroom, second separate shower room/toilet and office/study. The garden has a patio with tables/chairs, grill, a 14 foot trampoline and a large swing set.Our house is very child friendly with plenty of games as we have two boys, 12 and 9, and a girl of 4.

Your neighbourhood

Galway is the exciting cultural capital of the West of Ireland.Check our www.oranmore.ie and www.galway.ie for more info. There's lots to do and see in the area for both adults and children. Especially exiting are the last week in July when the Galway Arts festival takes place (www.galwayartsfestival.ie), and the first week in August is the world-famous Galway Races (www.galwayraces.com). There are very beautiful landscapes and beaches; in Galway is a blue flag beach (Salthill - 8 miles away) and another blue flag beach (White Strand - 12 miles). To the South (Clare and the Burren) and the north(Connemara) of Galway are other spectacular beaches and landscapes. Our street is perfect for children as there's no traffic, you can walk to the village (5 mins) for groceries, visit the library for books, have a meal or go for a drink. There are excellent traditional, Indian and Chinese restaurants nearby; traditional music in Galway City. For something special 'Morans on the Weir' is a 10 min drive south and is renowned for its exquisite seafood in a lovely outdoor setting on the banks of the Clarin river (which feeds into the sea) with a view of Kilcolgan Castle. We are about 2 km from a beautiful wooded public park with lovely walks & a large childrens playground with sea walks on one side and a world class golf course on the other. To the east is Dublin, a 2.5 hours drive. Transport in the area is very good with buses (5 mins walk) trains (15mins drive) and airport (5 mins drive
