Our home

We have an old traditional cottage in Co. Clare in the West of Ireland. It is about 150 years old and is sympathetically restored with central heating and has all mod cons while retaining all of it's original character. Food is very important to our family and we have installed modern kitchen with a split level gas cooker and electric oven and island unit. There is a woodburning stove and a sheltered patio area for outdoor eating. It is on an acre site with out-buildings which we hope to convert into studios. We love our country hideaway and would be equally careful of any home which is entrusted to us. We have a lovely little stray cat 'Minnie' who will need to be fed!

Who we are

  1. Therry Rudin is my name and I have two grown children, Chantal and Joel. I'm originally from Switzerland and I have been living in Ireland for 20 years. I now hold Irish citizenship. I am a practising artist and I also lecture in Fine Art in Dublin. I am planning to go to Toronto from mid- June to mid-July of this summer to meet with my daughter Chantal's prospective in-laws.
I will be travelling with Patricia Hurl who is also an artist lecturer. We are both in our late 50's. We hope to do some travelling while we are there so perhaps a small apartment in central Toronto would be ideal for us, as we only need a base there.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The cottage is in a very remote spot with beautiful views. It is 4 klm. from Inagh, the nearest village. It lies 17 klm from the historic town of Ennis and, is 10 klm. from Lahinch which is famous for its surfing and golfing. The Miltown Malbay, the home of traditional Irish music is 6 klm from us. We are also an easy drive from the Cliffs of Moher and Spanish Point.
