Our home

The apartment itself is tiny, but with everything you need. We have two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed and the other with a single bed. We have both a double and single inflatable bed that can fit in the living room if you are more than 3 people and don't mind sleeping in the livingroom. The bathroom has shower and bath with an excellent supply of hot water. The kitchen and are in one open room, with a new fridge, washer/dryer and oven. The building itself has a roof area with barbecues and a great view, an internal courtyard, two locked doors to get into the building, and all common areas are cleaned daily.
Our apartment is a best match for people with young children. Because space is at a premium, the living room has been made very child-friendly: there are lots of toys, books and puzzles for younger children, the room is child-proofed with soft tiles on the floor and a door gate. We can provide a buggy and contacts for qualified and reliable babysitters, as well as nearby playgrounds and swimming pools. For those who don't need children's toys, we can tidy it up as neatly as possible to not be in your way.

Who we are

  1. We are a family of three. My Irish husband is a lecturer at Trinity and I am a naturopath from Canada. We have a two-year old boy. We love to travel and are happy to take short breaks whenever we can. We plan to take a longer holiday towards the end of the summer for a few weeks.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our apartment is right in the centre of Dublin, on the quiet edge of otherwise bustling Temple Bar. We're 5 minutes to Trinity and Grafton St shopping, 10 minutes to Stephen's Green, 2 minutes in one direction to the Liffey Boardwalk, 2 minutes in the other to Christchurch and 2 minutes in the third to the the restaurants and pubs of Temple Bar. All of the major galleries and museums are less than 15 minutes walk. The Hop-on, Hop-off tour buses stop across the street, as do the horse and carriage rides. We're on a small, quiet, pedestrian-only street (Cows Lane) that has a lovely Italian restaurant, two cafes and a cosy little bookstore. The Dublin Craft Market is outside on Cows Lane every Saturday and the Farmer Market happens at the same time a few blocks away. There are four grocery stores within walking distance.
