Property features

Who we are

  1. Myself and my husband are both from Clontarf and have never left, we love it that much! I work part time in the financial services and look after my 7 year old son and 4 year old daughter. My husband runs his family business of 3 generations. We have always loved travelling but also love relaxing with a book and a good movie with our kids. We would like to have a 'real' experience and adventure in a good location with our children. We would put a lot of effort into our house to make it perfect for an exchange with lots of information and would be very respectful of someone else's property and possessions.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Clontarf is conveniently located only 3 miles from city centre with a great bus service that runs every 8-10 mins into the city. My house is located right beside Clontarf Castle (see www.clontarfcastle.ie) and is walking distance to many restaurants, supermarket, chemists, florist, gift shops and bars. Clontarf has a wonderful seafront only a short distance walk away. Take our bikes and cycle out to the pretty fishing village of Howth or Dollymount Beach/Bull Wall which is a bird sanctuary. St. Anne's Park is a 20 minute walk or 5 min drive which has a great Saturday farmers market, tennis courts, pitch n putt course and beautiful rose garden. Clontarf run great summer camps for kids such as Art camps, tennis camps, Gaelic football camps etc that could be organised for you.
Easy access for great day trips to Malahide Castle, Skerries, Howth, Newgrange, Boyne Valley, Shopping Malls and only 20 mins from Dublin Airport.
We also have a 3 bed rustic summer log cabin in Bannow Bay County Wexford to include in the exchange. This are is very rural near the sea where the Normans landed in Ireland with a wealth of historic and scenic sights nearby. See www.hooktourism.com for all the wonderful things to see and do. There is great pub grub and music to be had locally. For castles, cathedrals, history, theatre, fine food, drink and friendly people, this listing will be perfect for you
