Our home

Our home is a 3 bedrooms house with a large garden to the front and rear. There are two large double bedrooms, while the smaller third bedroom is currently converted into an office. The sitting room has cherry wood floors, a natural gas fire place with marble surround and there is a great view out onto the mature cherry blossom tree in the front garden. There is a large TV with Sky Plus (including spanish TVEi), not that you would need to spend time in front of it with all the things to do in Cork and Kerry. Downstair there is a large bathroom and at the back of the house a large dinning room connected to the kitchen, which leads onto a private patio and the huge rear garden which is 25 meters long!

Who we are

  1. My wife, Sonia, and I, David, have just turned thirty. We have been living here in Cork, Ireland for the past six years, before that we were based in San Francisco. Sonia is originally from the Burgos region of Spain and works as both a primary and adult teacher here in Cork. I'm originally from the west of Ireland and work as an IT consultant. Lucky, my employers have let me work remotely for a few weeks this summer, so I'm planning to spend some time in Spain and hopefully improve my Spanish!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The neighborhood is quiet and located a short walk from the local supermarket, pharmacy, bus stop, good-price restaurants/take aways (Chinese, Indian, Thai) and golf course. There is also a weekly farmers market, 5 screen cinema, shopping center, fashion boutiques, coffee shops and green park located in the nearby popular/trendy Douglas village, just a 15 minute walk away. In addition, the house is in an excellent location that allows easy access to the city center in under a 15 minute drive using a dual carriage way! This carriage way also provides a quick exit into the scenic West Cork and Kerry regions. There are numerous things to do in the city, nearby villages and further afield, if you are feeling adventurous, in West Cork and Kerry that will keep you busy for weeks.
