Our home

Our holiday home is situated about 1km from the nearest village called Doonbeg. The village has 2 small shops and 5 pubs and 3 restaurants. Its overlooking the river and beach. There is a nicer beach called White Strand extremely safe 4 km away and a serious Atlantic beach 5 km away ideal for surfing. Kilrush is 15 km and its got bigger supermarkets etc. for shopping. The house has a large back garden and front garden and its very quiet at night. Its very cheerfull and bright with lovely views. Nearby you can drive to sea fish you can have my fishing rods and reels. Also you can walk from the house (2mins) to catch prawns when the tide is out.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

This is our holiday home that we use for weekends and holidays. Its situated about 35 km from Shannon Airport and about 160km from Dublin Airport. Ryan-air and Aer Lingus both fly into them. Its ideally situated in the west of ireland for travelling north to Galway and Connemara and south, crossing on the ferry to the beautifull county of Kerry where a tour of the ring of Kerry is a must. Nearby we have the fantastic Cliffs of Moher tallest cliffs in the world and further on you enter the Burren National Park which has its moonscape landscape and beautifull flora and fauna. The west of Ireland is famous for its traditional music and where you are invited to join in.
