Our home

A lovely relaxing get away nestled among mature trees in the Cooley Peninsula. Ravensdale is a great spot for hikers, bikers and anyone seeking a little bit of serenity. It is a perfect location to relax with children on our 2 acres with plenty of trees for hiding behind! We are 50 minutes from Belfast and 1 hour from Dublin with motorway direct to both. Our home was built in the '90's and has lovely high ceilings downstairs with wooden detailed designs on the mahogany architraves. We have great garden space and you can walk or cycle to the mountains from our house. Amenities such as Strandfield Cafe, Ballymascanlon Hotel, Restaturants, Mourne Mnts and the beach are close by. We are 15 minutes from Carlingford and 30 minutes from the Mourne mountains and have the cooley mountains and Irish sea on our doorstep.

Property features

Who we are

  1. Myself and my husband Torin and our 4 children live in Ravensdale in the Cooley penninsula in Co. Louth. I am from Galway originally and Torin is from here so we settled here 2 and a half years ago and love it. It is beautiful countryside with plenty of fabulous walks and cycles in the vicinity of our home.

  2. Torin is a social worker and I work in the voluntary sector. We both love cycling so there are plenty of bikes to use on your visit. There is a cycle greenway from Carlingford to Omeath which is a lovely day out!

  3. We love the countryside and having a good quality of life. We have chickens and we would ask whoever stays here to feed them and collect their eggs daily and use them (if you like eggs!). We also grow organic vegetables so in the summer time it would be great if our guests could water the polytunnel daily. Ravensdale is an undiscovered area of outstanding beauty waiting for you to explore. We have lots of children's toys from age 2-8 to make your stay with young children easier.
