Our home

Enjoy our family home in Dalkey, with amazing seaviews over Killiney bay, on one of Ireland's most exclusive roads, South Dublin.
Safe, quiet, residential coastal area - 15 min pleasant walk to Dalkey town with its village atmosphere. Only 30min train commute to Dublin City Centre.
With the original house entirely remodelled in 1995 and a new extension built in 2016, all rooms are bright and spacious (4 levels and 310 m2).

Who we are

  1. We are a family of four adults as our daughters are now 21 and 18. If they travel with us, we have our eldest's lovely boyfriend with us, so that my husband doesn't feel outnumbered:)
I am French (in my early fifties) and have lived in Ireland for 25 years. Having trained in languages and business, I am mainly a homemaker and a foodie who loves yoga and gardening, and am interested in sewing and upcycling crafts.
Ross is Irish, in his sixties, and has a passion for history but is busy running a company selling eco-friendly solutions in professional hygiene.
We both love good food and wine, gentle walks or cycling, watching movies and enjoy Nature, nice sceneries, following international news and politics. Both former members of Junior Chamber International.
Our cat Sasha is very independent - just needs to be fed and prefers to be outdoor in the garden in the summer.

Your neighbourhood

Dalkey, Killiney and then down the road, Glasthule, Sandycove and Dun Laoghaire are famous places on the tourist map South Dublin, with a strong heritage and plenty to do!
Nautical activities at sea, Wicklow Mountains for hill walking or simply admiring the scenery, Dublin City Buzz and Culture... there is plenty to explore for all ages!
our wonderful view keeps changing colours depending on the time of the day and the weather. Dalkey is a destination also for Dublin people because of its charm and great restaurants& pubs. it has been a home to many famous people like James Joyce, George Bernard Shaw, Maeve Binchy, and still now to Van Morrison, Bono (U2), Enya, Chris de Burgh, film maker Jim Sheridan, Neil Jordan, or journalist Robert Fisk and this is why we have the Dalkey Book Festival every year.
Nested between the hill and the sea, our home enjoys birds songs rather than City's constant noises - ideal to meditate and relax.
