Our home

BOOKED for Easter, JULY and AUGUST 2018
A stone house in a stunning location on the waters edge at the end of the beautiful hamlet of Crookhaven. Part of the wild atlantic way, our house is only 100 meters from the pub, pier and restaurants.
Panoramic views of the natural harbour from the front and side of the house with a large stone patio where you can watch the boats come and go.
The front porch faces the sunset in the direction of mizen peninsula .

The views from the upstairs bedrooms , kitchen and Living room, look out to sea.
The house was built 25 years ago so the Kitchen and bathrooms reflect that .
It is comfortable not luxurious, nothing precious Just as we like it to relax.
2 Bedrooms upstairs both have a Queen size and a single beds each.
Downstairs Bedroom has a Double bed
and another 3 single beds.

6 beaches to choose from in the vacinity,, The best being Barleycove ideal for walking, Kite Flying, swimming and surfing with a summer surf school .
The local pier is popular for pier jumping.
Crookhaven is a haven for sailors and boating enthusiasts with a sailing school in July and a regatta in August.

Mizen lighthouse and visitor centre nearby with a dramatic walkway out to the lighthouse at Ireland's furthest southwest point .
Hikes include Browhead one of the locations for the recently shot star wars movie and Three castle head.

West Cork is a foody haven., Goleen, Schull, Ballydehob, Skibereen and Bantry are all in driving distance to great pubs and Restaurants as well as seafood shops and farmers markets. Crookhaven itself has three great restaurants, 2 open year round.

A car is essential.
We have bicycles and Kayaks at the house available for guests.

Dublin 4.5 hrs, Shannon 3.5 hrs drive

We are open to offers of swaps or points all year round. Theres a minimum
stay of 5 nights for points. Cleaner available at your expense.
There are storage heaters and a woodburning stove with a back boiler that heats the radiators In the colder months.
