Our home

We designed and built our house on a beautiful site overlooking Ardamine beach near courtown harbour in county wexford. We have two young children and our house is very suited to family life with a tree house in the front garden overlooking the sea and a trampoline in the back garden. The childrens bedrooms have a single bed in each and we also have three very individual double bedrooms. We are set off the main road so we are a very private and safe residence with a short walk to the beach.

Who we are

  1. I am a teacher and my husband works in IT. We have two young children aged seven and five. We love where we live but enjoy traveling and seeing new places. We want our children to experience new cultures and get the travel bug too.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We are within two minutes walking distance to the quiet and beautiful Ardamine beach. The nearest town is the picturesque fishing harbour of courtown harbour. This comprises courtown harbour and beach, small hotels and restaurants and the forest park leisure centre with gym, swimming pool and sauna. The courtown area has also beautiful woodland walks. And boasts award winning golf clubs.

Gorey town is ten minutes drive from our house. This is a thriving market town with three beautiful hotels, a cinema and many restaurants to choose from. It is a great shopping town with many boutiques. The town has many amenities for children including an indoor large softplay facility. The swimming pool and cinema, the gravity adventure centre in courtown and three pet farms with outdoor play areas. Horse riding is available in several centres and the amber springs has fabulous facilities for children.

We are one hour drive to Dublin and this is great as you can easily go for the day. Dublin is well serviced by bus and train several times per day if you don't want to drive. The train journey is beautiful following the coast into the city.

The Wicklow hills and the Vale of Avoca are also just a short drive from our home. Kilkenny is about one hour and twenty minutes away, Wexford town is a very old town and worth a visit. It is just over half an hour away by car.
I know that any one to visit this area would not be disappointed as it is visually stunning with lots to do and see.
