Our home

Our home was built to our specification in 2006. With beautiful gardens, children's play area and a high level of privacy. The neighbours are friendly and discrete to assure an enjoyable stay. The house has sitting room, kitchen, den, dining area and playroom downstairs. Upstairs, 4 well proportioned bedrooms and a fully functioning office. Outside, the gardens are welcoming and well appointed with adequate space for play. A herb and vegetable garden are full enjoyment.

Who we are

  1. Kevin is Director of a Regulatory Affairs firm and Catherine is a Registered Nurse with 3 boys (5, 7 and 9). A 3 month trip to the Eastern Seaboard of the USA is planned for June to August inclusive, preferably in the corridor between New York and Boston. While first time and slightly apprehensive home exchangers, we assure the highest level of support and loving care for your home and of course, the same in return.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

A convenience store and bar are 2 minutes walk from the house. Inishannon is a charming typically "west cork" bustling village and the market town of Bandon is 6 miles away.

The beauty of being located where we are is its proximity to Cork city and Kinsale(the gourmet capital of Ireland). The Lonely Planet guide listed Cork as a “top city” alongside Abu Dhabi, Charleston (South Carolina, USA), Cuenca (Ecuador), Istanbul, Kyoto, Lecce in Italy, Sarajevo, Singapore and Vancouver. The guide said Cork was now “at the top of its game: sophisticated, vibrant and diverse”.

The maritime town of Kinsale will give you the perfect mix of a small village/town feel with extensive restaurants(known as the gourmet capital of Ireland, sailing and beauty spots to explore.

In addition the house is located at the gateway to West-Cork. http://www.westcork.ie/
West Cork, one of the most scenic locations in the world will give you endless opportunities for exploring.

With Ireland's major road networks and our proximity to Cork's international airport, access to any part of Ireland is possible.
