Our home

Our home has been completely re-built from the inside, keeping the old front of the bungalow. It's large and spacious, yet warm and comfortable and very child friendly. We have a very big kitchen, which is great for cooking and enjoying evenings with friends. The kitchen windows open back wide and allow you to really enjoy the garden. The garden gets sun all day and is completely enclosed. We have young children, so we have a play room, loads of toys, bikes and sandpit in the garden. We have a downstairs shower, toilet and bedroom for anyone who has difficulty with stairs. We also have an office which doubles as a gym with treadmill, free weights, mats and medicine ball.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our house is situated in the South West of Ireland and is ideally located as a touring base for the many attractions in the area. Cork airport is a 20 minute drive away. The medieval town of Kinsale, know as one of the prettiest small towns in Ireland and a gourmet heaven is just 30 minutes away. This picturesque village boasts many beautiful buildings, narrow streets, shops and galleries and lots of activities on land and sea. Also within 30 to 60 minutes drive include the following attractions, beautiful sandy beaches, unspoilt landscapes, wild life park, Killarney and historical castles to name a few. You'll also be given plenty opportunity to relax, enjoy a pint of Guinness and listen to some traditional Irish music! Bishopstown is the name of the local area where we live. It is a southwestern suburb of Cork and has many local attractions within minutes walk, including a nature trail along a river (5mins walk), tennis courts (5mins walk), leisure complex with 3 indoor swimming pools (15 mins walk), local grocery shop, pharmacy and hair salon (across the road), large shopping complex and library (10mins walk). We are 20 minutes dive from the city centre, where the Old English Market among other attractions can be found. This thriving covered market, with its variety of stalls selling goods and fresh produce, can trace its origins back to James 1st in 1610.
