Our home

Our home is a traditional Irish Cottage, but it has all the modern comforts.
It has a handmade kitchen and a big dining table, all very nice.
The big livingroom has a woodstove, and is very cosy.
The house is very spacious, with wooden floors and big wooden beams.
It is very well maintained and clean.
The garden is wild and as is the surroundings.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are James and Barbara, we have 3 sons, Michael the oldest is 21 and studying in Holland, Daniel is 19 and studying in Galway and Alexander is 11.
James is a carpenter and is born and breed in Connemara, and I am from Holland.
We have Connemara Pony's as a hobby and and enjoying the quiet life in Connemara.
We would like to see a bid more off the world now that our boys are getting a bit more grown up.
So this is the first time on HomeForExchange for us, so all new.
Looking forward to see new places and meeting new people.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The cottage is in a quiet rural area, on a little Cul de sac road, 1 km
from the Clifden Galway road (N59)
We have a panoramic view, looking out on the 12 Bens (Connemara mountains)and the lake and Cashel Hill.
Our neighbours are small traditional farmers, very friendly people.
Clifden is the capital off Connemara and is 15 min. drive with a car, Galway is a 1 hour drive.
There are lots off pubs and restaurants around.
The sea is 10 min away by car.
