Who we are

  1. We are a couple in our early 50`s with 4 children. Girl(22), Boy(21), Girl(18), Boy(14). I am a Civil Engineer and my wife Carole is a Public Health Nurse. We are clean, considerate and will respect your home as if it was our own. I lived in Vancouver in the early 80`s and actually met Carole there in `83 while she was on vacation. We would love to return to Vancouver with our two youngest and relive some old memories. We have house swapped twice in the past (Spain & Ireland) and found the experience most rewarding. We are looking to swap for 2-3 weeks from 1st June 13 to 31st August 13.

Arty and bohemian, Galway is legendary around the world for its entertainment scene. Brightly painted pubs heave with live music on any given night. Cafés spill out onto winding cobblestone streets filled with a frenzy of fiddles, banjos, bagpipes, harps, tin whistles, guitars and bodhráns (hand-held goatskin drums), and jugglers, painters, poets, puppeteers and magicians in outlandish masks enchant passers-by. 2007, Galway was named as one of the eight "sexiest cities in the world" A 2008 poll ranked Galway as the 42nd best tourist destination in the world, or 14th in Europe and 1st in Ireland . It was ranked ahead of all European capitals except Edinburgh, and many traditional tourist destinations.Taking place 15 to 28 July, Galway Arts Festival is Ireland's largest annual gathering of artistic events.
